[Poll Results] Which 4e Races Have You Played?

It has been some time now, but I feel 4th Edition has lost its momentum. Some of you may argue that fact, but this has been true for me and a number of people I know. This is why the title of the poll I posted to your immediate right (Which Races Have You Played As Over Your 4th Edition Career?) implies 4th Edition is over. In any case, here are the results of that poll in order of popularity:

Option Result Percentage
Human 20 11%
Dwarf 16 9%
Eladrin 12 7%
Sorry, I DMed 12 7%
Halfling 9 5%
Tiefling 9 5%
Dragonborn 8 5%
Half-elf 8 5%
Warforged 8 5%
Elf 7 4%
Half-orc 6 3%
Drow 5 3%
Genasi 5 3%
Gnome 5 3%
Revenant 5 3%
Pixie 4 2%
Vryloka 4 2%
Githzerai 3 2%
Mul 3 2%
Shade 3 2%
Shifter 3 2%
Thri-Kreen 3 2%
Bugbear 2 1%
Deva 2 1%
Gnoll 2 1%
Minotaur 2 1%
Githyanki 1 1%
Goblin 1 1%
Kenku 1 1%
Kobold 1 1%
Orc 1 1%
Satyr 1 1%
Shardmind 1 1%
Wilden 1 1%
Bladelings 0 0%
Bullywug 0 0%
Changeling 0 0%
Duergar 0 0%
Hamadryad 0 0%
Hobgoblin 0 0%
Kalashtar 0 0%
Shadar-Kai 0 0%

I must say, I am sorely disappointed that Vryloka rated above Minotaur amongst you. For shame.

Huh? Near as I can tell you got 20-30 people to fill out the poll. I wouldn't conclude anything of that magnitude from such a small and self-selected dataset.

    1. Doh. I meant the title implied the end as it is in past tense. Fixing now.

  2. I think that fourth edition could have continued with significant momentum for the next few years had they not announced that fifth edition would be coming out sometime in 2013. That said the minute that they announced that it killed fourth, just as it did when third was killed by the announcement of fourth.

And I have to agree with you, it is utterly shocking that the Minotaur has been beaten by the Vryloka. Hell, what is a Vryloka?

    1. If you are seriously uncertain, the Vryloka was introduced in Heroes of Shadow as a kind of Not-Really-A-Vampire-But-Still-Kind-Of-A-Vampire race.

  3. No, unfortunately I really was serious.

So a Vryloka was a non-vampire, vampire? That's disturbing. WoC is usually far more inventive than that when they come out with new races.
